Ending up in this small town was a happy accident, as I was riding the train I got confused on which stop was the right one to get down so I got off on the "wrong" station but, things happen for a reason.

As I walked down the streets of 弘前 [Hirosaki], I could feel the cold winter breeze clashing with the subtle heat of the incoming spring slowly melting the snow covering the streets and sidewalks.

This small town located in northern Japan is not considered as a touristic place and it is thanks to that, that most of it's Japanese soul has remained untouched for years making it feel like timeless.
