一瞬で過ぎ去る出来事を引き延ばすことで、イラン・デレックは日常の断片を「生きた記憶」へと変換する。繰り返され、留まり、やがて永遠のように感じられる瞬間。本来なら見過ごされてしまう出来事に時間を与え、より深い知覚へと導いていく。

観察に根ざし、映画的な言語によって形作られたこれらの作品は、静けさと動きのあいだに存在する。時間とは固定されたものなのか、それとも私たちの知覚によって絶えず変化するものなのかを問いかける。

現実を記録するのではなく、そこに留まること。
その瞬間を、感じられるだけの時間、そこに在り続けるために。

This body of work explores our perception of time and the role it plays in how we experience the world.

By extending fleeting moments, Ilan Derech transforms fragments of everyday life into living memories, moments that loop, linger, and begin to feel timeless. What would normally pass unnoticed is given space to unfold, inviting a deeper form of attention.

Rooted in observation and shaped by the language of cinema, these works exist between stillness and motion. They question whether time is something fixed or something we continuously reshape through perception.

Rather than documenting reality, this work seeks to hold it. To remain within a moment just long enough for it to be felt.
